Packaging
First company in Italy and Europe
Sicily Food is the first company in Italy and Europe to bring 100% recyclable packaging to the market, featuring a new easy-peel opening system—a tab that allows for quick and easy opening of the package. It consists of just two sheets of paper and one very thin layer of plastic. The entire package can be disposed of in paper recycling. A product that Sicily Food has secured exclusively for five years.
PAPER2SKIN
Packaging
Thanks to high-level innovative technology, the company is focusing on entirely recyclable packaging, reducing overall materials and providing significant environmental benefits such as lower carbon emissions and reduced plastic use. The latest initiative in this regard is certainly the PAPER2SKIN packaging. This is a smoked salmon pack made with only two sheets of paper and a small transparent film, which can be entirely disposed of in paper recycling bins for an easy recycling process and a reduction in carbon emissions.
Eco-sustainable
Eco-sustainable companies
The group's companies are all eco-sustainable. They directly produce 80% of their energy needs, utilize a water reuse system, and carry out all production using a CO₂ refrigeration system, recognized as the least polluting for the environment. All packaging is sorted for collection and, for certain products, sent to specialized recycling companies. It can therefore be said that all Mancuso Group plants are ecological and nearly 100% self-sustainable.
